Stacey Stewart

Stacey D. Stewart is the CEO of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). For more than 25 years, Stacey has served in purpose-driven roles including President and CEO of the Fannie Mae Foundation, U.S. President and Executive Vice President for Community Impact Leadership and Learning at United Way Worldwide (UWW), and most recently the President and CEO of March of Dimes.

 

Stewart is a graduate of the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan where she earned an MBA in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Georgetown University and holds numerous honorary degrees. She has been a director on more than 40 non-profit boards, nationally, and in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area. Stewart also serves on the boards of Hologic, Inc., a medical technology company focused on women’s health and PennyMac Mortgage Investment Trust, a residential real estate investment trust. She is also the founder of a private family foundation, SportsMom Foundation, dedicated to helping girl student-athletes from under-resourced communities become college recruit-ready.

 

Stacey is a mother to two college-age daughters and resides in Bethesda, MD with her husband.

Tru is a celebrated author, an engaging speaker, a committed community leader, and an award-winning marketing executive with over 20 years of experience at the nation’s top advertising & marketing agencies.

 

Tru currently serves as the Chief Impact Officer for the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Minnesota Lynx.

 

Tru is also the founder and President of Tru Access, which is a Community Bridge Building consultancy that serves organizations by helping them to Build Bridges of trust and understanding across various divides. His first book “Millennials Revealed” serves as a guide for countless individuals and organizations across the country to help them build meaningful connections across diverse generations.

 

As a Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion advocate and committed Community Bridge Builder, Tru has established a strong reputation for building bridges across racial, cultural, gender, and relational lines of all kinds. Tru has been married to his beautiful wife, Tameka, for over 20 years, and they are both extremely proud of their 11-year-old young prince, Austin.

 

Kirk Hensley

Closing Plenary Lunch

Lieutenant Donald Kirk Hensley of Marion, North Carolina began his career with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol in November 1994 and served McDowell and Dare Counties in North Carolina until retiring at the end of 2021.In his time with the NCSHP, he served as a primary instructor for the North Carolina State Highway Patrol Training Academy teaching courses in Defensive Tactics, Officer Survival, and Electronic Control Devices for over 25 years.

 

Lieutenant Hensley was also the lead instructor, researcher, and developer for new and innovative officer survival techniques and training for the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, which went on to be the basis for his nationally recognized course Surviving the First Three Seconds. His research, conducted during his own time, led to his flagship course, which he has taught to federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies in all 50 states to including FBI National Academy, the U.S. Marshals Service, the Federal Air Marshals Service, U.S. Air Marshals service, International Narcotics Interdiction Association, the Department of Defense, and many more.

 

Since retiring from the NCSHP, he has served as a Lieutenant with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office leading the Drug Enforcement and Community Impact Team (CIT). Lieutenant Hensley was voted Best Law Enforcement Officer in McDowell County in 2023 and was chosen as the Troop G Trooper of the Year for 2011 and 2007.

 

In his free time, he enjoys building houses, reading, and spending time with his family.
