NC Traffic Safety Conference

Every other year, organizations from all around North Carolina send representatives to the NC Traffic Safety Conference for technical training and networking. Attendees include state and local law enforcement, emergency services, judicial professionals, child passenger safety technicians, engineers, researchers, advocates, and municipal leaders.

NC Vision Zero Leadership Institute

The Vision Zero Leadership Institute is designed to help communities in their Vision Zero planning—whether they are just starting out, working on reinvigorating an initiative, or planning the implementation of a Vision Zero plan. Community teams come together at the Institute to learn, plan, and collaborate next steps to take back to the wider set of community Vision Zero partners, with hands-on support from skilled group facilitators.

World Day of Remembrance

On the third Sunday of November, the NC Vision Zero team partners with NC Families for Safe Streets and other partners to host the annual World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (WDoR). The annual event includes a memorial exhibit featuring pairs of shoes to represent the people killed on North Carolina roads.
