Responder Safety.com New Slow Down Move Over PSA

“As Chief of the North Carolina Office of EMS, I support the mission of Vision Zero because it is the right thing to do for the citizens and guests of North Carolina. It is my hope that with initiatives put forth by Vision Zero, Emergency Medical Services agencies across the state never have to face a fatality on the highways of North Carolina. While knowing this will likely never happen, it is realistic to believe that proper use of safety devices can significantly reduce Public Safety agencies from facing these tragedies.”

– Tom Mitchell, EMT-P, Chief of North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services, member of NC Vision Zero Task Force

For emergency responders, every second counts.
How can you help?
  • Slow down. Move over.
  • Pay attention to any approaching emergency vehicles and make room to allow them to pass as safely as possible. The faster that they can treat victims of crashes, the better the chances of survival.
